After eight years of running this trip this has become the classic Peregrine Ski Expedition. This Tour takes us into the wild terrain in the jagged mountainous region known as the the North Cascades. The North Cascades is the most dramatic and heavily glaciated mountains in the contiguous United States and holds some of the best big mountain ski terrain in the country.
This sets us up for the possibility of 2 to 3 days of skiing off of prominent summits high mountain cols and vast glacial landscapes. Summit or not, big spectacular terrain and lots of skiing in fresh snow is guaranteed.
Day 1: On this day we meet either in Bellingham or Sedro-Whooley. After gear check we travel to the trail head. After organizing and packing our gear we saddle packs and climb up to and set our wilderness camp.
Day 2 – 3: Both of these days are spent skiing. On the final day we take on a big objective we still allow enough time to pack up camp and ski back to the car.
